Welcome to Round Two of our 2016 Libertarian Presidential Candidates Poll. We will be conducting these polls on a bi weekly basis until the Libertarian Party convention in May. Our first poll ran during the last two weeks of February and you can view those results here. Now that the Libertarian Party has had their first debate it’s time for a new poll to determine how things have changed.
Gary Johnson, Austin Petersen, Steve Kerbel, and John McAfee earned their way into our first Libertarian Presidential Candidates poll. They’re running first class campaigns and have the name recognition and funds to be serious nominees. They each managed impressive vote totals in our first poll as well. As a result, they’ve been included in this poll and are likely to be included in future polls.
One candidate, however, did not deserve their spot alongside those four and has been replaced in this poll. Darryl Perry will be taking Marc Allan Feldman’s place as the wild card in the poll. Perry earned his spot as a result of his strong showing during the first Libertarian Party debate. He will still have to show that he’s in the top tier if he would like to remain in the third round in two weeks.
Now, without further ado, which Libertarian Presidential Candidate are you currently supporting?
(This poll closed on March 15th, 2016 – see the full results here)
*Please Note: This Libertarian Presidential Candidates poll will not and cannot possibly include all of the candidates running. There is currently a top tier of candidates based on fundraising, name recognition, website design, social media strength, and debate performances. Any candidate without these factors cannot hope to be an effective Libertarian Party Presidential nominee and therefore cannot be included in this poll. There is also not a None Of The Above option as it is counterproductive. NOTA will not be the Libertarian Party’s nominee.
